Reset and Start Over changes
What has been changed
Start Over removal
Before: Companies at level 30+ were able to Start Over - resetting their company back to level 1, in exchange of 3% specialisation bonus (production or sales speed). Start Over bonus was counted up to two times, to a maximum of 6% specialisation bonus.
Now: There is no way to Start Over anymore, with the same benefits. The Reset mechanism has been changed, to offer some, but not all, benefits to people wanting to start from scratch.
A compensation to existing companies with at least one Start Over certificate is described in “How it affects me” section below.
Reset changes
Before: Players above level 5 were able to reset their company, and start anew. The only things that would be preserved were collectibles, and Supporter status.
Now: Players above level 5 can reset while keeping their Supporter status, Simboosts, Certificates, Collectibles, and Notes. A new certificate “Reset” will be granted to all players who will have level 20 and above, and will make a reset.
No change to existing companies.
New levels added
Before: Players could only reach level 34. There were no level progressions after that.
Now: Players can now reach level 60. Companies earned 1% specialisation (production or sales) for every 5 levels. This is extended to level 60, giving players 6% more to their specialisation on max level.
No change to existing companies.
Level progression changes
Before: The amount of exp needed to level up from level 23 upwards was set to 450 000 exp.
Now: The amount of exp needed to level up from level 23 upwards was decreased to 400 000 exp.
The change does not affect companies below at level 22 and below. Companies above level 23, and 34 are affected by this change. Please see more details in “How it affects me” section below.
Growth certificates exclusion of reset players
Before: Companies that started over, or reset, were able to compete with new players for the weekly/monthly growth certificates.
Now: Companies that reset, are excluded from the weekly/monthly growth certificates.
No change to existing companies.
How does it affect me?
Companies with at least one Start Over certificate
As Start Over cert is not going to grant 3% specialisation anymore, you were given 6 000 000 exp (at least 15 levels) which granted you the 3% specialisation back.
Temporarily, we will also still leave you with the original bonus of 3% specialisation for three months. Basically having 6% for each Start Over, that will be after three months reduced to 3%.
Players with no Start Over certificate were able to reach at most level 35 after the change took place (described in more detail below). This means you have an advantage of 2% (in case of one Start Over, 5% for the first three months), and 5% (in case of two Start Overs, 11% for the first three months), until they level up at least 10 more levels, which depending on play style, can be at least 6 months. Unless you are at level 60 already, during that time you will level up also, keeping the advantage for longer.
Companies at level 22 and below
As level progression took place only at level 23 and above, you are not affected, and have the same level and progress to next level as you had before the change. You will only be able to reach levels above 23 faster.
Companies at level 23 and above
While no experience has been granted to you, the experience required to level up has been lowered from 450 000 to 400 000. This means that if you had 400 000 or more experience, you will level up, and keep the remaining experience. If you have less than 400 000 experience, you will only see some advancement in your progress towards the new level.
Companies at level 34
You were at the highest level before the change. Any experience gained was used for your progress towards the next level, but no further. If you had more than 400 000 experience, you now have level 35 and 0% progress towards the next level.
